hi,
maybe you can try the smargo mode (experimental please take NO Ticket for SUPPORT, only forum SUPPORT http://www.streamboard.tv/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=30934 since svn 4545.
Because with smargo mode you have the ftdi driver
and not the libusb.
But i don't know if it works with Phoenix

Smargo
Mode=Auto Kernel=Normal T=0 EGT=0

I use 11 (eleven) of these readers in one debian lenny x86 box (intel chipset board with atom cpu) and all work fine. So it must me some issue with your usb chipset or linux version.

comment:4 Changed 3 years ago by RoboSK

as i say - tested into:
PC A - Intel)
-enabled Intel OnBoard? USB
-disabled Intel OnBoard? USB + VIA PCI USB
-disabled Intel OnBoard? USB + NEC PCI USB

PC B - AMD)
-enabled Nvidia/NForce OnBoard? USB
-disabled Nvidia/NForce OnBoard? USB + VIA PCI USB
-disabled Nvidia/NForce OnBoard? USB + NEC PCI USB

Kernel 2.6.36 (now) + 2.6.32 LTS + 2.6.35 - see ticket #825

maybee is problem that both card have same CAID ?

comment:5 Changed 3 years ago by malakudi

Debian Lenny uses 2.6.26 kernel, I don't know if this makes any difference. I use 686 smp kernel. Full version is:
# uname -a
Linux linuxserver 2.6.26-2-686 #1 SMP Wed Nov 4 20:45:37 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

Some of my 11 readers have the same CAID, so this is not a problem.
